Makayla

Makayla grew up in Cleveland, TN where she discovered her love for horses at a young age. When she was 3 years old, she was given a grey Welsh pony named Prince Pickles. Together they began competing and she discovered that competition ran through her veins. 

At 10 years old, Makayla received a young buckskin quarter horse mare which she named Feather. Makayla has owned Feather for 12 years and together they have accomplished many goals such as competing in hunters, show jumping, and barrel racing. 

Makayla recently graduated with a BS degree in Horse Science from Middle Tennessee State University. Her passion revolves around helping others with their horses and training horses for competition. She loves instructing and watching both horse and rider become better in every way. 

Makayla recently married the love of her life, Sam, and rode Feather down the aisle at their wedding. She is also excited to focus on the next chapter in her life: rodeo!
