Grounds Worker

Age 16 years or older
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
Able to safely operate grounds maintenance tools and equipment
Open to learning and implementing new skills
Self-starter
Able to work well alone as well as alongside others

Pay starts at $10/ hour. Pay raises and promotions available with time and experience.
Boarding and lessons for employees is discounted.

We encourage perpetual learning among all members of our staff. Therefore, we encourage all our staff members to take lessons (employee discounts apply), attend clinics, and pursue other learning opportunities about working on farms and with horses or other animals. We are also designing a curriculum system for employees to gain useful knowledge and skills that they can carry throughout their lives and future careers while also providing a way to earn pay raises and promotions while they are with us.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Mowing 
• Weed eating
• Treating fire ant hills
• Spraying for weeds
• Fence building and maintenance
• Arena dragging
• Minor maintenance around the property
• Helping with barn chores as needed
• Picking up fuel and refilling equipment as needed
• Planting trees and other plants
• Helping to sow grass seed
• Assist with unloading hay shipments when needed
• Cutting wood/ trees
• Maintaining trails around the property
• Working alongside others in a team environment as well as being able to accomplish tasks on your own
• Maintaining open and professional communication with co-workers and superiors
